Your Hotel Accommodation
For your time with Dark Deeds we have selected one of Carmarthenshire's
premier hotels - The Gwenllian Court Hotel.
Situated just outside the ancient town of Kidwelly, the Gwenllian Court
is named after the Princess Gwenllian who led an army against the Normans
in 1136. Defeated in battle she was executed in the field now called
Maes Gwenllian situated on the banks of the Gwendraeth Fach River that
flows through the town.
 |
Gwenllian Court was originally built in the last century as a gentleman's
country residence for the owner of the local tinplate works. First known
as Broadford Grange the building was later to become renowned as a building
of local stature under the name of Velindre House. |
Today the hotel has undergone extensive changes but still retains that
inimitable style that can only come from such a heritage.
The original bedrooms are all individual and the decoration has been
chosen to enhance the unique atmosphere of this hotel.
All rooms have private bathrooms and are equipped with television
and tea and coffee making facilities. And of course the fine grounds
are still very much a part of Gwenllian Court - a peaceful haven from
the pace of today's world and the ideal escape when you want to wind
down at the end of a busy day. |
 |
Ideally situated between the major towns of Llanelli and Carmarthen
(birthplace of the wizard Merlin), the Gwenllian Court Hotel is easily
accessible by road or rail.
Information on local activities is available from reception, including
Golf, Skiing, Fishing and Pony trekking amongst others.
